Health and Safety

We continually endeavour to reduce risk across the N.T.Rix businesses. Part of our company policy is to provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all of our staff, contractors and clients.

Before every project, a detailed site-specific risk assessment and method statement are produced by our management team. ‘Toolbox Talks’ are carried out weekly on a job to ensure every team member is aware of hazards & threats to the workplace.

All of our scaffolding staff are CISRS trained, and all of our supervisors are SMSTS, SSSTS, CITB, CISRS qualified and hold an NVQ Level 6. On top of this We hold a £10,000,000 public liability, are CHAS accredited and are members of the British Safety Council.

We understand and acknowledge the requirements of the Scaffolding and Construction Industry Regulations and recognise the legal obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Environmental

At N.T.Rix Scaffolding environmental considerations are important to our business. We actively seek out ways to reduce our carbon footprint, from investing in fuel-efficient vehicles to recycling our sole boards, tubes & fittings as well as waste from our Demo projects.

We are currently working hard to reduce our fuel usage and CO2 emissions to reduce our carbon footprint. We have recently invested in our fleet with the purchase of two Euro 6 compliant vehicles, specifically for works inside the London ULEZ.

We actively encourage our staff to walk to work and have recently begun a cycle to work scheme.
