The George Hotel was the centre of the community in Rye and was damaged by fire in Summer 2019. Dover Demolition were contacted by the client in November 2019 to brace the structure to ensure it was safe for entry and sensitive soft-strip and roof removal works.
The team installed Acro props & bracing to the engineers design and specifications over 4 floors to stabilise the historic Oak frame structure.
This would have been a logistical nightmare for any less-experienced demolition company but Dover Demolition’s highly skilled team completed all works whilst working closely with the client and commercial team.
